Quasi-Experimental Design
What is an "Interruption"?
Interrupted Time Series (ITS) is a powerful method for evaluating the impact of large-scale policy interventions when randomized control trials aren't feasible.
The Intuition
"If the policy didn't happen, what would the trend have looked like?"
We establish a pre-intervention trend and project it into the future. This projection is our **Counterfactual**. The difference between what *actually happened* and the counterfactual is our treatment effect.
